Web Experiencing App

The Web Experiencing App is a web application for potential visitors that wish to explore one of the narralive’s cultural heritage experiences online, without travelling to the museum. It is a player for experiences made by the Story Maker, combining them with a virtual representation of the museum, made by the Place Maker. Similarly, to the Mobile Experiencing App, this player is designed for, but not limited to cultural heritage experiences. In fact, any interactive storytelling experience taking place in a physical space can be played with the Web Experiencing App.

The Web Experiencing App contains two main components:

  • The Experience Dashboard, where users can explore, download and start the available experiences
  • The Experience Player, where the experiences are presented

Experience Dashboard

Exploring and selecting available experiences

A list of the available museums and experiences is the first screen that a narralive online visitor will come across

After selecting an experience, the visitor is able to select a virtual museum to combine this with

Experience Player

Presenting narralive experiences

When starting an experience, the Experience Player takes over and the experience screens start showing up along with the virtual museum.

The online visitors view the screens while freely moving around the museum, as they would do in the real world

The story unfolds in a truly interactive way enabling visitors to make their own choices through menus

Template based screens

Interactivity is added in narralive experiences through the use of templates that facilitate different experience screen types. Check the Story Maker to see how these templates are used to create these screens.

The simple & video templates simply present text, images and video

The conversation template presents a conversation among story characters

The question template presents a question to the visitor
